The global oil corporation Nynas has chosen Antura Projects for their project and portfolio management. Nynas had previously been using a number of niche systems that did not coordinate with each other as desired. By introducing Antura Projects, Nynas is taking their operations to the next level with a fully integrated solution.
“Nynas is working on several engineering projects within the corporation. We need to get a better view of our project portfolio and at the same time give our project managers a great tool for planning and monitoring”, says Rikard Thelander, Head of Project Engineering at Nynas.
“It was my responsibility to get an overview and evaluate the leading project management tools on the market and to find something that would fit Nynas. I quickly recognized Antura Projects as the best option for us and the more I saw of the product the more convinced I became. After having used Antura Project for a while as part of a pilot test, I can now conclude that Antura Projects actually is considerably easier to customize and to work with than I initially thought and clearly better than the tools we had used previously. We strongly believe in Antura Projects as a support tool for both management as well as for the project managers”, says Rikard Thelander.
Nynas has a mature, and in some aspects, a highly developed project culture, and a majority of the project managers have years of experience in their roles. “Nynas is working with complex technical investment projects and the project managers require a complete and easy-to-use IT support,” says Patrik Strömbeck, Project Manager and client relations at Antura. “For example, in order to facilitate the monthly reporting, we developed automated reports together with Nynas for the project and portfolio managers. It went from a time-consuming exercise chasing down numbers to a one-click report thanks to Antura Projects”, says Patrik Strömbeck.
”From the very beginning, I saw Antura Projects as the best alternative. The system is actually much easier to configure and work in than I thought and clearly better than the tools we used previously.”
