Lantmäteriet chooses Antura Projects

During 2011 Lantmäteriet - the Swedish mapping, cadastral and land registration authority - has evaluated a variety of IT-solutions for their project- and portfolio management. After evaluating several alternatives Antura Project was chosen to take Lantmäteriet to the next level.

Lantmäteriet is known among Swedish government agencies for their front line work with project- and portfolio management. Many organizations listen to their experience and follow their footprints. Lantmäteriet has been working for a long time with a different system for project- and portfolio management. With growing needs and demands, Lantmäteriet has come to the conclusion that they need to find a better solution for their current position.

“During 2011 we have been looking at different solutions to take our project- and portfolio management to the next level. We have earlier sharpened our process with the tool we had, but now we can no longer continue to grow with that system.” – Maria Björk, Head of Development and PMO Manager at Lantmäteriet.

Since the decision of replacing the IT-system affects Lantmäteriet’s organization as a whole, the evaluation group consisted of the Project Office as well as process- and project managers throughout the organization, which all had high expectations. “As an organization we hold a high standard regarding project management and have a mature project organization. In order to perform their work, our project managers have high requirements for a flexible and effective IT-support.” Maria Björk continues.

Marika Ersholt is Head of the Project Office with extensive experience of managing and monitoring project portfolios. It is important for her that the project tool and the ERP-system Agresso is communicating effectively and that the planning and follow-up of resources is correct. “We are completely dependent of both systems to be integrated and this will be one of the important factors of success with our choice of Antura Projects”, Marika says.

For Antura this is yet another proof of the products value for customers with high demands.

”We are pleased that Lantmäteriet has chosen Antura Projects, especially since they have been using a different system before. It’s a challenge to be working with Lantmäteriet since they are a mature and demanding organization with a lot of experience within the field. We feel that we have been entrusted and with the help of Lantmäteriet several new applications will make Antura Projects an even more complete tool in the future.” – Patrik Strömbeck, Regional Manager at Antura.

”We know what we want and need for our organization, and with Antura Projects we feel that we have the flexibility to get it”, Marika concludes.

Lantmäteriet is a government agency under the Ministry of Health and Social affairs with approximately 2100 employees.
