Major Swedish Business Newspaper Names Antura as a Gazelle Company 2014

2014 marked the 15th anniversary of the Swedish business daily, Dagens Industri’s, Gazelle (Gasell) awards. Gazelle Companies are champions both in regard to profitable growth and in creating new jobs. Antura is proud to be a 2014 Gazelle Company!

In order to be named a Gazelle Company 2014 the company must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Revenue in excess of SEK 10 million (approx. EUR 1.1 million)

  • At least 10 employees

  • At least twice the amount of revenue when comparing the company’s financial year 2010 with its most recent

  • An increase in the amount of revenue in each of the past three years

  • A cumulative operating profit for the past four financial years

  • The majority of growth is organic and not through acquisitions or fusions

  • Healthy finances

The company’s past four annual reports always serve as the basis for the Gazelle evaluation.

Gazelle companies are the dynamic mid-range of the business world. However, the criteria are tough. Each year, less than 0.5% of all Swedish corporations are named Gazelles.

Antura was named a Gazelle Company in 2012 and 2013 as well.

About Gazelle Companies

The term “Gazelles” was created by the American researcher David Birch. By the 1980s, he was showing that it is the small, fast-growing companies that are creating most of the new jobs, unlike the economy’s elephants, which always need to streamline and often reduce employment.
In addition, Gazelles differ from the very smallest companies that work to make a living and are not primarily aiming to grow.
