Skanska, one
of the UK’s leading contractors, has selected Antura Projects as its new
Project, Portfolio & Resource Management (PPM) tool following a competitive
tendering process.
Skanska’s IT team delivers a range of projects
every year, including server upgrades, new site fit outs, data warehousing and
works order management systems.
The growth of its
Project Management Office (PMO) had led the business to procure a complete PPM
tool. Previously, it used a variety of spreadsheets with different macros for
project planning, reporting and management.
Doug Sorrell,
Skanska UK IT’s Interim Head of PMO, says:
–We found that the Antura Projects PPM tool delivers what we need it to, provides good
value and, put simply, just works. Antura listen
to us and we found their people highly approachable, including the support team
which has responded quickly to any questions we have had.
Skanska UK IT’s PMO
Analyst, Amrit Suri, describes Antura Projects as “easy to use” and “highly
configurable, where we were able to copy much of the information from the old
excel spreadsheets into the new system.”
Effective reporting and better workflow
One of the key
functions that Skanska embrace is the project portfolio view, which provides a
view of all projects in one place – supporting effective decision-making. The
configurability of the tool, in portfolio view, also ensure effective
reporting.
Other benefits
include the flexibility to take data and manipulate it quickly; having all the
key project information in one place with consistency of reporting and having a
detailed history of that information. In addition, being able to track
projects, from planning stage to completion, supports effective workflow.
Antura Group CEO
Mattias Andersson says:
–We are delighted that Skanska selected Antura
Projects as its new PPM tool. We’ve long developed our tool through listening
to our customers’ needs, and now look forward to building on this best practice
as we continue to expand in the UK and abroad.
Looking to the
future, Skanska’s IT team is planning to increase the number of users it has in
Antura Projects, along with using more of the resource planning elements.
