Familjebostäder chose Antura as a supplier in 2013, and since then the use of Antura Projects has spread to large parts of the organization. The PPM tool enables shared monitoring of project activities and increased dialogue between project members, which contributes to greater consensus on the operation internally.
Familjebostäder is a public housing company and part of the
City of Stockholm Group. Its remit includes developing project ideas for new
builds and refurbishments, maintenance and management of properties, as well as
environmental initiatives. Familjebostäder is tasked with starting the
construction of at least 500 new rental properties every year, and the company
also manages around 19,000 homes in Stockholm.
In 2013 Familjebostäder decided to look for a tool that
would bring all project members together around one system, while also ensuring
that personnel worked in line with the shared project model. After a far-reaching
evaluation of several suppliers, the company chose Antura:
–The deciding factor was that Antura offered a complete
solution and was a well-established supplier. Good references were also
crucial. It was clear that Antura Projects was a powerful, modern PPM tool,
says Susanne Kilgren, Head of IT and Information Security at Familjebostäder.
Growing with the system
In 2014 Antura Projects was implemented, initially to be
used in the core organization encompassing construction and maintenance projects.
The project managers have been trained in the system so that they can
effectively report on time, resources and the projects’ progress. The system
has been rolled out gradually and is now used by the Project Development
department, the Property department, the Environment unit and the IT
department.
–We have really found some good procedures for our project organization.
Using Antura Projects has brought us greater opportunities for shared
monitoring and dialogue between project members from several different
departments. This has brought a number of synergetic effects, including greater
consensus on the operation internally, Susanne Kilgren explains.
Since the beginning the number of users has risen from 60 to
150, and the next stage will be to work with resource management, which means
greater support for planning and monitoring resources at the level of roles,
individuals and projects. Implementation of the portfolio management feature,
which provides a complete overview of all planned, ongoing and completed
projects, as well as integration with the accounting system Agresso, is planned
for 2016.
–Antura’s consultants have been important in the process and
we have been given solid support, particularly when it comes to adapting and
implementing the PPM tool. We look forward to continuing to work with Antura
Projects and growing with the system, Susanne Kilgren concludes.
