With the help of Antura Projects, Elvaco has made a major process of change, with focus on portfolio management and project transparency

Elvaco´s products are used by thousands of companies around the world within district heating, water, real-estate, electricity and gas industries. To get a better overview of all their projects and activities, and to create transparency, they implemented Antura Projects as a portfolio, project, and resource tool across their organization. 

They had an urgent need to get a better overview of all ongoing projects, to be able to strengthen the business benefits of all project activities. There was also a need for streamlining the resource situation to ensure that all projects and activities got sufficient resources, so they could meet deadlines and the right level of quality. The solution was simple, Antura Projects.

−Before we implemented Antura Projects in our organization, we evaluated different project tools to manage our project portfolio and our various projects, but nothing was suitable to be the hub for our projects and portfolios. We are a hybrid organization and work in our projects according to an agile project model in symbiosis with the classic waterfall model, "Agifall" as we call it. The solution that suited us best and that we are happy with is Antura Projects, says Stefan Lindgren, Project Manager at Elvaco.

Elvaco now works effectively with the portfolio view in Antura Projects. It gives them a clear overview and they can extract and present various reports and statistics such as schedules, problems and risk reports. It has provided them with a whole new level of transparency within the company.

−The rollout and implementation of Antura Projects has worked very well, and we have had exceptionally good support from Antura and our contact person Peter Bergevald. But we have also had a clear goal and a project manager responsible for the implementation internally. The strength of Antura Projects as we see it is that you can efficiently manage both portfolio and projects, and that it can be used at various levels depending on how mature the organization is in working in the project format, Stefan continues.

Efficient resource management
In addition to portfolio management, Elvaco has also got a very efficient resource management process. They have integrated Antura Projects with Jira via Antura's plug-in, which has created great value for them. Now they capture time spent on R&D and use APIs to export portfolio data to an internal website. The business benefits of all activities have also increased as they now can easily see where more or less resources are needed in order to meet project deadlines.

−Antura Projects fulfills our expectations for how a project, and portfolio tool shall work. Now we have routines on how we shall work with our various projects. Antura Projects will grow with our company and over time, more people within Elvaco will probably work actively in Antura Projects, Stefan concludes.
