Swiss University Hospital CHUV Chooses Swedish Antura as its Supplier

CHUV, Lausanne’s university hospital in Switzerland, plays a central role in Europe in the fields of healthcare, medical research and education. In addition to offering a powerful PPM tool, the personal contact and receptiveness to the organization’s needs were deciding factors in CHUV choosing Antura as its supplier.

CHUV (Le Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois) is linked to the Faculty of Biology and Medicine at the University of Lausanne, and plays a crucial role in Europe in the fields of teaching and medical research. For example CHUV has made international impact by producing a new tuberculosis vaccine.

The Swiss university hospital also works alongside a series of foundations and associations to develop research and education, and support humanitarian efforts.

Wanted: Customer-oriented, flexible supplier

In 2015 the hospital was about to implement a project tool and at the time it compared Antura with 80 other suppliers, both local and international. In addition to offering a powerful PPM tool, the personal contact and receptiveness to the organization’s needs were crucial factors in the decision; Antura was ranked first.

During the process we met several suppliers of PPM tools and obtained a very favorable impression of Antura, which proved to be a flexible, customer-oriented supplier, keen to satisfy our organization’s needs, says Fabien FETTER, Director of IT PMO at CHUV. His colleagues Cyrille GHISTE, Strategic Portfolio PMO and Sébastien BASAN, IT Project Manager agrees with the positive impression of Antura.

The project tool was implemented over seven months with great success. Over 100 project managers were trained and today almost 400 projects are being run in Antura Projects.

On several occasions while working with Antura Projects we’ve had confirmation that we made the right decision in choosing Antura, says Fabien FETTER.

New and more effective ways to collaborate

Customer-specific solutions such as pre-determined case flows have helped the hospital identify new, more effective ways of collaborating within the organization. The next step will be to further specify how the PPM tool will be used to create a shared view of the project portfolio for the whole company. FETTER sees great possibilities in the collaboration with Antura:

We have high expectations and set ambitious requirements because we know they’ll be met!

Anders Haglund, Manager International Markets at Antura, summarizes the relationship with CHUV as follows:

To date our collaboration has been both enjoyable and productive. The representatives from CHUV have a down-to-earth, visionary attitude and we are constantly seeing new opportunities in the organization. Our collaboration demonstrates just how flexible and powerful Antura Projects really is. We’re also looking forward to supporting CHUV in its work to streamline project and portfolio management in future.
